IRAs and Retirement Savings
Retirement. These are your twilight years, when a lifetime of hard work pays off with financial security and the time to do what you want. It can be difficult to decide how to get there, and what savings plans are the best for you. Whether you're just starting a retirement-savings plan or you have a plan at work, an Individual Retirement Account could be right for you.
Johnson Bank offers two types of IRAs:
Traditional IRA contributions may be tax deductible and allow you to earn tax deferred interest.
Roth IRA contributions are not tax deductible, but interest may be tax-free when eligible withdrawals are made.
If your earned income meets certain adjusted-gross-income thresholds, you can contribute to an IRA. Contributions are based on your earned income and could vary. Consult your tax adviser to determine if you qualify.
Visit or call any Johnson Bank branch today to determine which IRA is right for you.
