Online Banking Security

With online banking, security is a primary concern. We have taken the following steps to ensure your information is transmitted safely and securely.

Protecting the privacy and the confidentiality of the communications between your browser and the servers.
  • Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption provides a secure channel for data transmission across computer networks using public key cryptography.
  • Browsers offer 40-bit encryption, or 128-bit encryption. We require your browser to connect at the highest security level — 128-bit encryption.
  • Firewalls and Redundant Screening/Filtering Routers are gateways that verify the source, destination, and protocol of each data packet before it is sent.
Verifying that only authorized persons are allowed to access online banking.

  • Two-part password protection ensures additional security. The first part is chosen by the account holder; the second part is randomly generated.
  • User Options allow account holders to change their passwords and time-out periods.
  • You play an important role in preventing others from accessing your account. Never use easy to guess passwords or reveal your password to another person. We suggest that you change your password regularly.
