Johnson Bank appoints Gorton vice chairman

Richard Gorton has been appointed vice chairman of Racine-based Johnson Bank’s board of directors.

Gorton has more than 35 years of banking and business experience. He retired as board chairman of Gormac Products Inc. in Racine in 2004 and had worked there since 1963.

His business experience includes serving as a board member of several Racine-area companies and as a board member and president of a national trade association. His banking experience started in 1972 when he became a director of Security National Bank.

Johnson Bank is part of Johnson Financial Group, a privately held $5.7-billion financial services company.
